You should think of a myspace account as a funny tshirt slogan, and myspace as a pub, and the other people on it as coils of wire, pulsing slightly as they whisper the names of the dead.

You should think of a facebook account as your face, and facebook as a huge mincing machine, and the other people on it as a huge dead mass exerting their gravitional pull on you from just behind the mincing blades.

You should think of a twitter as a little plate with some kitchen roll spread out on it and dampened and each twitter account as a single spire of cress slowly rising out of it and each comment on it as some kind of cancerous growth on your stalk and your twitter feed is where your growths and some of your neighbours growths intertwine and draw you nearer even though the last thing you ever wanted to do was be near them or anyone else anywhere in the world, and especially not on this plate, on this window ledge by the back door.

I love the way that all of the mentals use similar page designs.

Film 4 starts on Freeview tomoorow - They're putting on a few Marx Brothers films in the first week, so thats me sold on the whole channel!

Ves.

Anyone see the last bit of 50 films to see before you choke to death on a vole?

1 - Apocalypse Now
2 - The Apartment
3 - City Of God
4 - Chinatown
5 - Sexy Beast
6 - 2001
7 - North By Northwest
8 - A Bout de Souffle
9 - Donnie Darko
10 - Manhattan.

(nicked from WOS)

2001 and North By Northwest, fair enough, but the rest? Hmm...

A bout de souffle is astonishingly good

Although when I saw the title of that programme i thought it was going to be a list of obscure, little seen films, and it was all just stuff thats already in every other list ever

Sexy Beast is good for Ben Kingsley. plus he stopps being in it half way through so you can stoip watching it then..

actually the programme was stupid cos it said: watch these films. then it says "here is what happens in the end so you needn't bother watching it then".

Ten films I think you need to see before you dye:

1) Mike Anus Goes To Husk And Breaks a Plate
2) M Night Shyamalan's Honk! Honk!
3) Mike Anus Goes To Husk And Breaks a Plate II
4) You've Got Race Hate Mail (Tom Janks and Meg Ryan)
5) Jeremy The Bass Guitar
6) Chute On Sight 4
7) Memory Man Loses His Memory
8) Brrrrrrrrrrrrut!
9) Your Knees Are My Knees - Directors Cut
10) Rubbertrain P.I. Goes Apeshit

I have seen 4 of those films. Tom's right, City of God is brilliant. I always mean to watch 2001, but somehow can never be bothered, as too many people say it is too long and boring. But I will watch eventually.

Also, A bout de souffle. Which I'd never heard of, but I just read a review of it that said it is 'astonishingly good', so I will watch that.

2001 is my half film. I stopped watching because it was too long and boring.
