This new restored cut has the following scene put back in, which wasn't in the original and was thought to have been destroyed for years

Oh. Erm

CandyDarling

I am not going to see Digger because

1) Tom Fucking Cruise is in it, a man who is genuinely evil
2) The meta twists sound stupid
3) The sudden hysterical astroturfed PR campaign involving every fucker in Hollywood calling me a cunt for not wasting my money on it is further putting me off

Instead ...

CandyDarling

Bit late with this, but that was a cracker from the first few seconds! Really good song, that.

CandyDarling

I did this Youtube short

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Rd722y_Wf88

I think it might get removed at some point, feels a bit touch and go in regards to Youtube's "standards", of which there are none ((c) 2009 Stewart Lee) but it's very much an angrily heartfelt blast aimed towards Ed "Fence Up Arse ...

CandyDarling

Well, it's not really about the show itself, but... ah, to hell with it. What I was going to say was that Stuart Ashen showed the whole series over a period of weeks on his Twitch stream, and he played a joke on us by editing the ending with the help of a friend of his who knew how to use Blender ...

I was going to post something here about Tottie but I can't work out censor / spoiler tags. They don't appear to work here like they're meant to

I saw two fillums recently. The first was Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma, which some people have given mixed opinions over but I absolutely fucking loved it, to the point where I realised the director had gone through some of the same sexual/gender problems as I have. Which perhaps isn't ...

CandyDarling

Yeah, that's something that would go in the direct opposite of this thread

However, Jimmy Cricket has also died. On top of everything else, he was the only source of some BBC / ITV variety show off-airs on Youtube!

CandyDarling

Last night I saw this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jGYW1fzIw0

It was actually really really good! Under the jokes and gross out stuff there was some properly angry political commentary. Certain types in America should be forced to watch it, Ludovico Technique style

I have fond memories of going to see the first one at my local cinema in 1987, and being mildly entertained

I was at the Trans+ March today

I don't know if I was captured in any of the photos, I did walk past a bunch of professional photographers at one point. Amusingly the starting point ...

AI slop has come for Youtube uploads of the entire first series of On The Hour:

The actual show itself seems to be ...

I also saw Angel's Egg at the cinema recently, but it was at the Sir Prince Charles in Leicester Square. They didn't include that intro video and went straight into the film, which was a wise choice on their part. Of course we had to all sit through fifteen minutes of adverts anyway

Also on the ...

At the cup final, the visibly rotting pedophile president will stumble over from his trough to meet the winning team, and fart so hard his eyes fly out

Yes, everyone has been pointing out how they seem to have ripped that off, mainly the voice

Why is Diane Morgan always just sort of slightly crap

Oh no, I missed the two other replies and now I look like I'm insane (I was talking about the US record store looking bloke)

CandyDarling

It also looks like he's miffed that he has to order so many copies of that album as Stone Temple Pilots are total sell-outs and poseurs, and people aren't buying the recent Pavement EP like they ought to

I don't know a lot about footbaaal, but I do recall this bit from the second Red Dwarf novel:

Yes!

Bruce's comment about Murray Gold touched on something that always bothered me about no-longer-New Who - the weird outbursts of grandiosity and pompousness you'd get in it that felt totally at odds with the original series. Not just the embarrassingly amped up nature of the replacement theme ...

CandyDarling

Yes, that new one. But I was mentioning it in part due to... a part

However, as footage of the statue spread across social media, the focus shifted rapidly from the sculptor's ambition to one specific, awkward design ...

This might have already been mentioned, but has anyone here talked about that baffling giant Messi statue yet?

I just want to say how delighted I am by this project and I hope you manage to set up an actual physical location for it one day

Also I've had to unsub from every single Patreon I'm on as I'm skint, so sorry about that David. I will resub to you when my finances are more stable

I saw a film called COMBAT SHOCK at The Nickel cinema in Clerkenwell. It was the director's cut, I think. I really enjoyed it! According to Wikipedia the edited theatrical release came out to "a mixed to negative critical response, with many critics expressing discomfort with its bleak tone and ...

V. good!

I feel there could be a 60s / 70s themed drag group called The Mellow Birds, after the instant coffee (they still make it but it's an old thing to me)

I think Balor could have written a better TV show. It would just be him killing absolutely everybody, but it would be better by default

CandyDarling

Fucking hell, Tip Toe is bad. Patronising, out of touch, suffers from odd tonal shifts, and seems to think that transphobes are people who have mild disagreements with pronouns or something. Interestingly, RTD is friends with Helena Bonham Carter, who is a TERF. Colour me surprised...

I saw a trailer for that new Steven Spielberg film that's a kind of riff on Close Encounters. Said trailer gave away a lot of the plot because that's apparently the way it all works, but still it seems like an interesting story... but the actual look of it is horrible. The direction and all is fine ...

I did something almost like this, but only with friends and people I knew in my school. Not once did I write myself into anything in any fan fiction type stuff as a kid. Years later I did loosely base some of the main characters in my early short fiction pieces on myself, but it was never in a good ...
