Today I dodged the heat by going to the gym for the air conditioning and for the considerable cooldown period afterwards where I don't feel the heat because I am boiling away. Then I hid in the office.

My plan for tomorrow is: get up early, run all errands when it is cooler, hide in the office for the rest of the working day, and get my sister to show me how to operate the Mr Ice machine she bought for me when she comes to visit. Hopefully that will suff-ice.

I hid in the office (where it is much cooler) till 9pm, then immediately opened all the windows and the front door when I got back. Fortunately it's actually pretty cool outside so my flat has cooled right down. Tomorrow is supposed to peak at 25 C which is survivable in here, but I'll probably go to the gym (air conditioned) and then the office tomorrow as well.
Meanwhile my sister has taken my niece to visit our parents, whose house as always is hotter than the surface of the sun because of their refusal to open windows in a remotely sensible way, and she is melting. This is why I never go home in the summer.
