having not seen any of the olympics at all really (due to nieces/nephews being here, etc), today i spent all day catching up on the olympics and now i've seen it all

So far today on the o’lympics I have seen a man falling over a hurdle, a man falling off his bike saddle somehow while riding at a million miles an hour and a woman get hit in the face by a hockey ball hit at her from about 2ft away

in the handball i watched yesterday, a woman got sent off for throwing a ball into the goalies face

imagine if in football you got sent off for kicking the ball into a goalies face

it would be improved by at least 10%

I'd introduce the death penalty for anyone who kicks a ball into a goalies face. The firing squad would stand behind a line sprayed by the referee onto the pitch, and if the firing squad failed to remain there, I'd award a free kick to the opposition.

The Brittahs athlete that got reinstated into the 5000m steeplejack final is fotoballo Danny Mills' son. As you can see at the end of the race, he's got his father's calm and zen-like personality.
