Which version? I've been doing fine with Mint, but then I'm an increasingly passive computer user these days so I'm not really taxing it or myself. Haven't even played games in months.

I've tried Mint, Ubbuntu and CachyOS
it's mostly fine apart from when I actually want to do anything

I’m aiming to replace them all with Linux
My brother keeps telling me to switch to Linux, but I've got a horris feeling I'd have the same grisly experience as Daz has outlined on the previous page.

You can always tell when an OS is good, when loads of people create special programs to disable or delete various applications and alter the UI.

A nearby gardron was the venue for a bbq and even though it was cold and rainy, none of the guests were wearing coats. That's trueblue British spunk of the quality that Johnny Forrin can only dream of!

I have now had a migraine (or several migraines) for over a week, the only break being Saturday when I had sad guts instead. Stupid weather.

I went to the office and hid until chucking-out time (9.45pm), as I did on Monday and yesterday, and as I will probably do tomorrow.

The good thing about being dead is that you don't have to keep removing and replacing sweaty t-shirts in hot weather.

After three days of coping at least mildly well, I gave up and conked out till 3pm. Eventually dragged myself to the office to enjoy the somewhat cooler temperature for a couple of hours but can't say I achieved much.
Tomorrow my groceries arrive between 7 and 8, so I'm tempted to stay up all night with all the windows wide open, take the groceries in, pop out to the shops first thing after that to get the other things I need for the week, and then just collapse until the evening.

it's lovely now.
I think I'm actually going to have to invest in some kind of air con unit for future heatwaves as working from home in that heat is impossible, and yet I'm expected to do it
but I'll have to wait until winter for air con units to be in any way affordable, or even available
Re: hot

Make your own aircon by buying a miniature ice dragon to breath on you

I think air is a con.
Has anyone ever seen it? I THINK NOT!!!
