wine is on Mac as well as Linux. Would that be any good? Does Steam do Proton compatibility for Macs?

I'm trying Disco Elysium again. I got pretty far into it on Switch but gave up because it kept crashing and losing my progress. It was on sale for Xbox so I figured it was time to give it a proper shot, a few hours in it crashed and lost a good chunk of progress

I can see why this game has a vocal cult following but I'm surprised EVERY recommendation doesn't come with a "but it's absolutely fucking broken" disclaimer, like Deadly Premonition etc

I assume this means the ps6 and whatever impenetrable name the next Xbox has will cost a thousand pounds minimum

About the same price (when adjusted for inflation) as when the Atari VCS 2600 console came out.

Ves, this always end well:

"It is thought to be the largest leveraged buyout in history, meaning a significant part of it is paid for with borrowed money, which the company will have to pay back.

This is because as well as the $36bn it has already put into the deal, PIF needs to borrow $20bn from investment bankers JPMorgan to close it, with the business taking on the debt."

I've been playing Yakuza: Infinite Wealth, and it's (inadvertently) the bleakest videogame ever made.

One of your mans gets cancer, so the rest of your team get him to make a bucket list so he can do everything he's always wanted to do before he dies. Then everything on this list is the same tedious grinding busywork you always have to do for minor exp bonuses.

"So what are the things that would give your life meaning in the days before you die?"

"Walk 100000 steps, use taxis 100 times, buy 20 pieces of clothes I don't need because they're inferior to the clothes I currently own, and pick 500 items up off the floor."

they had scud race in the student union bar at essex university in 1996 or whenever (along with sega rally, although sega rally was just the stand up cabinet version, whereas scud race had the seat and the gears and whatever)
