What helps Wolves fans to cope is the memory of being in the old fourth division and losing to Chorley in the FA Cup. Not too many big-ish clubs have experienced that sorta thang and bounced back, so we'll be able to handle whats happening at the mo / our subsequent relegation back to the old D2. :D

Why the fuck does the bbc website keep publishing articles about how great that man who tried to murder hundreds of liverpool fans is?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c33mpgr81zro

It's genuinely baffling/unsettling

You have to get to pretty much the last paragraph of that to discover that this man who'd lived a life of blameless selfless wonder once got discharged from the army for biting a man's ear off

I'm probably being paranoid that it's a deliberate attempt to soft-pedal someone who fits the profile of a cryptofascist so as to appease the right wing, but

I watched the end of the spurs Liverpool match, and it was hilariously inept. Both teams trying to lose their heads more stupidly than the other (spurs probably won that competition while not actually winning the match itself, obviously)

Also i think that means that Liverpool have won as many league games at new white hart lane (opened 2019) as spurs have won at anfield (opened 1884) (5 each)

I'd like David Batty to become a football pundit.

Presenter: So what did you think of the first half, David?
Batty: I didn't watch it.

Presenter: So what are you hoping to see in the second half?
Batty: I don't know.
