Also 1 X cat still wants to sleep right next to me
Ma dawg used to try that shizzle, but I made her sleep on the floor (onna large cushion) next to me, and she used to sleep so deeply that I could've been attacked by marauders wielding many types of wind chimes, and she would've snored through the entire thing.

I mowed them before it got TOO hot and now I miss them a little

I watched a squirrel not giving a single solitary shit whilst three magpies tried to frighten the little peep off the bread-laden bird feeder.
Highlight of ma summer, is that!

we had a baby robin hopping round the garden today. baby robins are entirely absurd looking things, and i genuinely have no idea how any of them ever survive at all

I thought I was doing OK, and then today all life functions ceased and I just lay there for hours, dead, with all the windows wide open as it was somehow hotter in here than outside. Fortunately it is now an actually comfortable temperature (24 C) in here, and I have arisen.

Should Dublin, Cork, and Galway feature on British weather broadcasts? (They sometimes appear on Met Office weather map reports, but are never mentioned.)
Is someone (Michael Fish) in the Met Office pining for the pre-Irish War of Independence, times?

I have been away for most of the last week, visiting sister. Returned this morning to find the flat at a perfectly bearable 25.5 C, which (after opening the windows) dropped to a delightful 23.5 C. This is the summer I always wanted.

Now that the radiators are back on I probably need to figure out how to clean the radiators because they are full of cat hair and dust
(they have those weird clip-on strip things on top that don't seem to just clip-off)
