I've been jabbed! And I got Pfizer, so perhaps I won't feel awful all weekend (I believe Pfizer is a more "second jab feel bad" one?)
anyway it was a very enjoyable experience and I am happy!

Good-o Vom! Hurrah!

Yup, that's what I've been told by the peeps that've had both jabs.

Both my jabbus appointments were cancelled immediately after Boris's update on the news yesterday. I got texts and am e-mail saying cancelled book again. No reason given. So I booked them again, and this time the availability was much better and sooner. I've got my first on Monday now, instead of end of May. Weird.

Good stuff, Mr. Hound, and bloody hell, Dave, how odd. I'm surprised they then just didn't ask you for your details, and sort it out on the spot (which they did with me, after my Mom asked, etc, etc).

I had the vauxhall astra jab at 2pm yesterday. I was dead by 3.
Actually, I felt fine until the middle of the night. I woke up with teeth chattering chills. Fell back to sleep okay. This morning I feel a bit warm and keep yawning like I've had no sleep.

I had no side effects from the Pfizer, aside from a briefly sore arm. I expect to receive some kind of effect from the second jab, but that's not for months, the world might have blown up by then.

Why can't side effects include stuff like floating 10 cubits in the air or growing a third arm? Y'know, stuff you'd like and want to happen.

After five weekes, I still get the occasional aches in my jabbus arm zone.

I had my second one this afternoon, and I don't currently feel particularly well. Not half as bad as the first time, though. I also experienced some fairly strong mood swings about 30 minutes after the jab, which was... interesting, if nothing else!

I was listening to a Ron Burgundy podcast in which he was in possession of a vial of a VIP Covid vaccine made in the Marshall Islands, non FDA approved, and containing flecks of gold. It's 101% efficient, but doesn't work on non-celebrities because they have less platelets in their blood.

University has opened up walk-in places for students and staff who haven't had their first jab, and one of these is about 15 minutes' walk away, so I'll try to get in there on Friday. I believe I count as university staff.

Everyone else gets horrible side effects, and I barely even had the soreness you usually get from injections.
I miss all the fun.

I'm beginning to get properly worried about the viral free for all that'll kick off on July 19th. If I'm wrong, then please do reassure me!

But you had the short-lived capacity to float 6ft above the ground, right?

My brother's wife got covid (at the school she worked at) before the very first lockdown and she's still ill with long covid now, 18 months later. But apparently that's okay it's nothing to worry about

Ves, my sister says it's going through schools. She goes back to work (school) tomorrow for the first time after maternity leave. She's had both her jabs but even so. And she was shielding from last March onwards due to growing a baby, so it's all going to be incredibly strange for her.
I'm not going back to the office till I've had my second one, and have told my manager as much - and I do actually want to go back, at least some of the time, because I'm a bit fed up having to do all work in my home. I suspect that if anything there'll be more pressure on people to work from home, but we shall see.
