I watched all of the Beatles documentary over the course of about a month. It was both very boring and completely fascinating. Watching it also had the benefit of meaning I now just have Beatles songs permanently stuck in my head for January instead of Christmas songs like I normally would, which is much less depressing.

I watched it in three days after Christmas because I had no work but also no family or friends or generally anything to do. I loved the first episode then thought the second one was a bit dull until Billy Preston turned up like a human ray of sunshine, then I don't remember what happened in the third one until obviously the rooftop concert which is amazing. I think my favourite part was after George left and the rest of them just launch into an unhinged jam with Yoko on vocals and I found it completely exhilarating even though it was basically unlistenable

My favourite bit was every time George turned up in the morning looking like some sort of beautiful exotic bird.

My favourite bits:
Lovely, lovely Mal Evans.
Glyn Johns wardrobe, especially that big furry coat.
John's piss taking of introducing the Rolling Stones at the Rock'nroll Circus
Ringo.

I also enjoyed watching them go slowly mad from doing the same songs again and again, culminating in the demented ventriloquists’ version of two of us.

I really like this, but I felt at around the 20 minute mark it had outstayed its welcome a bit. I know that's not the done thing with this band, but I think I'll continue from where I left off later.

You can see why they didn't particularly want it to leak ever (some of the lyrics are pretty terrible!) but yeah I like it quite a lot on the whole. I'm surprised that it's so many short tracks, given their later work is the complete opposite!

Really like the big wall-of-sound guitars on Diminishing Shine and 333 Frames Per Second.

All songs should have keyboard solos, and that's the product that delivers on that truth. :)

I want to attempt to make music on the Amiga. Anyone got any advice on which tracker to use and where to obtain sound file disks. I think I know of ST-1 and ST-2. I think that number keeps going up. I'm half tempted to limit my choice because I have never made a music before.

ProTracker is the only Amiga one I've really heard of. I did a bunch of tracker music in my teens but it was all DOS stuff (ScreamTracker and then ImpulseTracker) and then a little bit on Windows (ModPlug I think?) before I moved onto other things

that might help. There are more links too if you scroll down. There used to be catalogues of sample mod discs you could order, one of which was based in harlow. Referenced here around 16:30. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9MXYZh1jcs&t=1s
