Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
It did (I think). And some faces among the gargoyles that might have been harold and edith
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
The mid lands have no time for such nonsense
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Long way north - beautiful but slightly dull animated film about a girl going on some harrowing voyage to the North Pole to find her granddad’s dead body (also his boat). I think I’d have enjoyed this more if i wasn’t watching it with my two slightly/thoroughly bored nieces. But it really does look amazing
Contains voices by a Tom Morton, but presumably not THE Tom Morton

That's a lovely article, Sir, full of juice and vim!
The André DeToth and Scorsese anecdotes are fine titbits, too!

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
also i watched ant man 3 today and it was absolute bollocks
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I watched 45 minutes of: Eurovision Song Contest - The Story of Fire Saga, starring Will Ferrell, last night. The first 35 minutes were decent / amusing, but then the film's pacing slowed right down, and I couldn't be bothered to watch the remaining 1hr 15m, to find out whether the movie became watchable again.
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I quite enjoyed it but I'm not really sure why it needs to be a full 2hrs long
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I had the day off today so I went to sit in a nice cool cinema and saw the new animated Spider-Man film. It was fucking amazing. Why do the live-action ones even bother any more? This makes them all look like absolute phoned-in bullshit
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I've seen a few bits and bobs from that, and yup, it looks supoib.
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
the first ones really great too. then the next spider man live action film just nicked all its ideas really badly and and charmlessly and well i suppose that's going to probably happen again sometime soon isn't it probably
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
They should take all the pictures from these films and put them in a book
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I liked this one more than the first but possibly just because I saw it in a cinema and it was bigger and louder
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
and colder
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
ALL things are better when they're bigger, louder, and colder!
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
The first one was great I’d like to see the second one. Also I’d like to see the first one again.
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
i started watching the first one again once, and my niece got so scared by it i had to turn it off
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I did another film article thing. Since this site picks a year to write about each month and I have a ton of unwatched movies, I thought I'd try watching all the ones from the year in question (1981) and trying to cover them all. I think it's moderately readable?

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
It's very readable, Sir! Both entertaining and informative! Huzzah!
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Hooray thank you
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Are youse going to write 'bout another cinematic year, next month, Vom?
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
That's the plan, yeah - 1947 to be precise
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Hooray for films, years
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
years are an abomination
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Another question - have you considered turning your articaals into prime audio content?
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Fair enough!
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
The reviews I've seen of the new Indiana Jones film seem to be suggesting that it's a bit 'meh'. Also: overlong.
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I can't believe an Indiana Jones film could be rubbish
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
That's never happened before
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Also apparently it cost 350 million quid to make (not including marketing or distribution costs)
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Also for some reason today I watched living in oblivion, which might well be the most 90s film ever made
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Does it star Ita Rienus as herself
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I finally managed to watch the Irishman. I guess it was quite good, and strangely poignant by the end, but the anti-aging technology was just ludicrous.

I saw a nice film at Sundance in London called Going Varsity in Mariachi. It's a documentary about a high school mariachi team and it's pretty lovely.
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Barbie + Oppenheimer = Barbenheimer?
Which is a 'thing', apparently.

If they have + channels, then for reasons of balance they should also broadcast - channels, ie, Disney-, Paramount-.
