...which is really expensive. The fifth one is going to become available from the end of October, and even with the cheapest model (4GB RAM), you also have to get a new case with a built in fan (because you simply can't run the new one without cooling) and also a new type of power supply. When added together, it costs over £80. I can't really justify me pre-ordering it.

Oh, they have finally added a power button to this one.

Talking 'bout new computers... I watched Chinnyvision's 'Book 8088, A Modern Retro Laptop' video, a few days back, and the machine looks like a right piece of junk.

And it's a piece of junk I was considering purchasing... *shudders*

Ah yeah, I saw LGR's review of that a while ago, he didn't like it either! He also got hold of a palmtop 386 from the same manufacturer, and said they were more like proof of concepts than actual products. He was especially unhappy with the screens, which looked rubbish in the video let alone in real life.

Haven't watched that video yet, so this may be addressed in it, but LGR also pointed out that the maker of these just took some freeware BIOS or something and changed the copyright notice rather than credit the guy who coded it...
