I just watched Hard Luck and yes indeed it is all over the place

I quite like it though. Especially the bit where Buster reveals the pack of fine dogs he has assembled

Nice, Davuss!

Also, I believe I can cast a spell that will stop you from using the word 'bizarrity'. :)

anyway, here's Buster Keaton in The Playhouse (1921)

https://accumulationofthings.com/100/20 ... ouse-1921/

in which I appear towards the end in a cameo, smoking a cigarette and generally looking as manly as a man can be

I did watch The Playhouse, and it was great

Lovely Buster Keaton. The music on the blu-ray version is also particularly good on this one, really cleverly synced up to the action

Also "dress the monkey!" is one of the best intertitles

no, that's moonshine

https://accumulationofthings.com/100/20 ... hine-1918/

in this one some oil men steal an indian tribes land, so they try to kill innocent old buster keaton for it instead. then he joins the tribe and tries to help them get their land back.

I just caught up. The Boat is impressive but never really all that funny, for me. Although the actual boat launch is pretty amazing and I like the silent punchline right at the end. The Paleface is pretty consistently clever and funny but I feel guilty for enjoying it, for obvious reasons. That bit where he parachutes off a cliff! Holy shit.

Enjoyable bite-sized reading FTW!

Also, as you're up to 1922, you can now join the 1922 Committee and help shape Britain. :)

Or possibly Buster Keaton was the agent of Taffy, who had a top 10 hit with Ital-Disco stomper 'I Love My Radio', in the mid to late 80s. :)
