1st of December is the earliest day, when advent calendar starts. For me the Christmas is restricted to listening to carols and possibly eating the occasional mince pie until I go back to parents, usually a week or so before Christmas Day. I try to get all the Christmas purchases sorted out by the end of November, though. I have the same aspiration for cards but it often doesn't quite work out like that. Which reminds me.

Approximately half of pre-Christmas is achieved, with the remainder (non-lights decorations for tree, various decorations for house, cards to go up on strings) to be achieved tomorrow. This evening I wrapped all my presents for family, which drove me into my usual state of fury.
