Absurd old TV / movie things
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
The new series of peaky blinders is an absolutely joyless, pointless, tedious slog of complete shite

Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
It was good when Sam Neill was in it

Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I've heard of Peaky Blinders, but I don't actually know anything about the show.
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
as I understand it, it's about some kind of peaky blinders?
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
i watched the first episode of moon knight, the new marvel series that explores the possibilities innherent in the premise "what if batman wore white"
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things

Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
i can't even change it and pretend it never happened now you've quoted it
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I tried making a thaumatrope (those things you spin so it looks like the birds in a cage or whatever), but it was a failure in all possible ways
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things

Ah, cool!
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I just watched The Changes (BBC 1975 teen drama in 10 parts) on Daily Motion.
It petered out a bit at the end, but I thought it was rather good, if disturbing in places, kids telly.
8/10.

Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I saw 10 minutes or so of a film made in the late 30s, and it looked pretty damn good, image quality-wise (restored presumably). I then caught 5 minutes or so of One Foot In The Grave on Drama, and it looked like a 360p YouTube video. Not a good look!

Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I remember watching programmes I'd recorded in VHS long play, and thinking, 'this is perfectly acceptable quality'.
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I rewatched the Channel 4 documentary Champions: Battle Of The Bikes - Boardman Vs Obree, at approximately 2.34am in the morn, and rather enjoyed it (once again!).

It also made me horribly nostalgic for 1993/4, and to such an extent that I felt a touch weepy.

Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
There's an entire tv series of don't hug me i'm scared on channel four next week sometime for some reason
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
will it be on youtube as well
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I do not know.
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
It was meant to be shorty All4 last week but it got postponed because, if there was one thing the quen couldn’t abide, it was puppets and raw meat
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
Amongst the things etc
Re: Absurd old TV / movie things
I haven't watched any Don't Hug in absolutely ages, so I am pleased with this news. Hurrah!
