I havenae watched the BTCC in years. I really must give it a whirl, this year.

re: F1

I'm hoping this season that Ferrari can get their act together, and deliver a car that can reach three figure speeds. :D

I saw that Renault are now 'Alpine', which just makes me think of the Talbot Alpine 'supercar'. :)

I'm glad to see that my prediction was yet again BANG ON THE MONEY! :D

The final 10 or so laps were, unlike Hamilton's tyres, thoroughly gripping.

It was also good to see that Vettel has 'still got it', and by 'still got it', I, of course mean, crashing into the back of the car ahead of him, and then blaming the other driver. Never change, Seb! :)

Good stuff to-day, I thought. I must admit that I chuckled a bit when Hamilton knackered his front wing into the barriers in a style not dissimilar to a flustered 90 year old driver in a supermarket car park. :)

And what about poor Bottas, eh? He's just deflated like a large, happy Finnish balloon that has been repeatedly speared by those javelins that Finns enjoy throwing around.

Ha! :)

I thought the sprint race was... okay... and an interesting experiment, I guess.

It just felt like watching the first 30 minutes of a film, and by that point, you've usually got a decent idea of whether the movie is for you, or in this case, which positions the drivers under race conditions are going to finish in.

What the hell do I know, eh? :D

I thought Hamilton was rather more at fault than Verstappen for the crash, but Verstappen just expected Hamilton to back out, which is what he's generally been doing. It was a scary and worrying crash, but Verstappen pulls that crap all the time, so if one of the other drivers decides not to back out, then they both have a problem. He needs to realise this. He could've also let his car drift wide rather than going for the apex, but oh no, he couldn't do that, could he?

I don't think Horner with his comments covered himself in glory, either.

It was a shame Leclerc didn't win, but Hamilton, who did seem rather shook up by the crash, did really well to snatch first place from him at the end.
