What have you done with Daren, you monsteur!

Also, weren't you the annoying shouty one in The Sugarcubes?

who?

also, who?

It was a crappy reference to Einar out of off of The Sugarcubes! Or the Sugababes - whichever one of those is Icelandic.

I know the sugababes, they did a song about Jacob's Ladder

Björk Björk Björk

I'm too young and beautiful to witness such unpleasantness, Rich!

Quebecois womans are known for their pranks! Possibly.

Look at this art that just arrived

Hooray. I've got the bagpuss one in that same set. They're all lovely

Oh man, that is adorable!

Also, the light reflection makes it look a bit like Professor Yaffle has got an Iron Man-esque heart.

That is a lovely art. :warncrow:

Wonderful

one or two of those have been lovingly recreated in Assetto Corsa as mods

yes, lovely. also weirdly nostalgia inducing despite my parents never having a car remotely sophisticated enough to have anything like that in it at all

Surely the Oldmobile Incas one appeared in the film Firefox, and murmuring to yourself, "You must think in Russian.", was a prerequisite of driving it?

My grandparents had a Ford car at the time which had a little glowing green vacuum florescent display in the dashboard, that showed a top down vector-graphic style drawing of the car and informed you which doors were open and which weren't. Utterly pointless (unless a door didn't get closed properly, I suppose), but there was something quite magical about whenever me and my tiny sister were driven somewhere by them, and seeing a wireframe door blink out and instantly "slam" into place with a closed one.

I just did a search for it and found out it was the Ford Sierra, a name that does ring a bell even though I know very little about cars (except that the Ferrari Testrossa was the correct answer to give in the playground when someone asked you "What is the best car in the world?", and that hasn't been accurate since 1990)
That seems to be the one. It actually did more than the "door ajar" thing, but also told you about, er, Jack Frost attacks or something, and what I assume are something to do with hazard lights, or the headlights or something

Lovely

also Ferrari Testarossa is still a perfectly valid answer as far as i am concerned

Glowing vector-style drawings are the bets drawings - cool!

Why are vector LEDs and mechanical sensors somehow more futuristic than actually having miniature computers in the dash and radio and everything?

Ha! They just are, aren't they? It's prolly a retro-futuristic thang, too.

In other news, I'm going to rename everyone called Victor, 'Vector'.

Vector Borges
Vector Lewis Smith
Vector Kiam

I could go on...

Roger, Roger.
What's your vector, Victor?

Many wonderful things

The anime/manga mecha robons pleased me a fair amount. Huzzah!
