Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I'm pondering buying a cheapo one (£40-£50) as a Chrimbo gift for a relative. Has anyone got any cheapo air fryer experiences they can share with me, please? Ta!
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I do not. sorry
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
i'm kind of scared of ovens really
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
putting things inside them and just waiting
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
its unnatural
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
give me a pot you can stir and watch and prod and occassionally jab a spoon in and slurp from just check its not all gone wrong
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
A pot is a gateway drug to using a large cauldron, David.
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I like ovens, it's woks that scare me. They're like unruly frying pans.
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I would bloody love a cauldron
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
Sitting there stirring it all day in my ramshackle hut in the woods
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
cackling occasionally
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
only ever talking to crows
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
Anyway I think you should probably buy this air fryer homfrus
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
before they outlaw air
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I have never air fried. People get a bit too enthusiastic about them and I find it unsettling, like they're trying to get me to join a cult
I also feel this way about most television programmes though so it's possible the problem is with me

Imagine a television programme about air frying
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
All seething intensity and well acted despair
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
77 baftas and whatever those american baftas are called i've forgotten now

Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
the third series being a disappointment and then the fourth being a return to form
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
the fifth series has been cancelled
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I think all your talk of cackling and crows has convinced me to buy it! You truly are the consumers friend!

I know exactly what you mean, Vom. I'm very much the same!vom wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2024 12:38 am I have never air fried. People get a bit too enthusiastic about them and I find it unsettling, like they're trying to get me to join a cult

Also, if there is an air fryer cult, I hope their place of worship is styled along the lines of the device.

We have a combined air fry/pressure cooker thing. It’s quite good I guess. You can pressure cook a chicken then fry it and it’s done in about 45 minutes.
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
And it beeps a lot too.
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
Much beeping is good. As is bleeping.

we have a cheap Gino D'Acampo one we got from Asda. It's ok - it is basically just a very highpowered fan oven. But it makes bacon v crispy so all good.
Cthulu bum you!

I put air fryers in the same category as video doorbells and smart speakers, which is to say things that were invented/popularised after my technology adoption cut-off date (1 January 2014) and therefore something I will never own or understand or attempt to understand.
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
an air fryers just a miniature oven
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
like one of those pretend kitchens for children that were heated by lightbulbs (only ever seen in the 80s, in the argos catalogue, at christmas)
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I am the same on air fryers and video doorbell but somehow I've ended up with three smart speakers
Re: Hair (Air) Pliers (Fryers)
I want a video doorbell air fryer that tells me who's at the door whilst cooking me chips at the same time.

We got one, and while we don't use it for frying much, it is very useful for all the small heatings of mini pizzas or broiling sandwiches or reheating various leftovers.
