Poor Geoff Capes. Although he did inspire two amusing moments at dinner, when my dad said 'they had him on there just now' without specifying it was a TV programme from the past when he was alive; and then again when my mum called him 'Geoff Grapes'.
Anybody who comes into the n3ta forest will be lost.
Everybody will become a Homfrus.
Everybody, Homfrus.
So, he's not here any more.

I wish he'd grown grapes, they would've been the strongest grapes in the world.

Also weeep. Candyman is so much better than it probably ever should have been.

Also I haven't seen that new candyman (and had no idea he was in it again), but kept meaning too

I think David Lynch probably made me cry more than any other artist (the lady in the radiator, elephant man, harry dean stanton looking up at the sky at the very end of the straight story, almost every single second of fire walk with me)

Jonathan Nash of Amiga Power, and also latter-years Your Sinclair, has died. His "Or Something" personal site had two last updates made over the last few years, indicating some sort of illness. The news was broken by both Mil Millington and Dirk Maggs (who had worked with them both on a BBC Radio adaption of Sexton Blake) via Bluesky.

I've written a bit about his passing.

Awww, that's a shame. :(

I came to his writings rather late, as I didn't read YS or AP, but he was a damn talented chap.

I'm sure he had a humour website pre-Or Something, but I can't remember what it was called - The Victorian Gentleman? or something along those lines?

RIP :(

From reading onna another frum, it would seem that America's regulatory rules regarding the installation of cm sensors is rather lacking compared to our own.

I had a bit of a weep today after signing paperwork for a terminally ill neighbour. :( The poor feller. :'(

I needed (and had) a couple of whiskies after that.

Yup, it wasn't great, but it had to be done I guess, and the neighbour thanked me for doing it, so I'll keep hold of that thought whilst necking down some cheapo beer.

there must be an actual template in photoshop or something for all these terrible fake brands, like the ones they use in tescos and saisnburys and whatever where they hope you don't realise you're buying tesco value shit any more, because they're all absolutely indistingusihable from each other yet its somehow always utterly obvious they're not real, too
