Which reminds me (for some reason) - Wolves didn't bother to apply for promotion for their Women's team, so if we'd won our league (we came second - only the winners went up), we wouldn't have been promoted!

Hooray southend made the playoffs with a glorious 0-0 draw in which we sounded utterly awful

Post by **dng** » Mon May 05, 2025 5:45 pm

Despite never being in the playoff positions all season, and also despite only winning 2 of our last six games

Post by **blombluss** » Mon May 05, 2025 8:37 pm

The beautiful game, there.

Also, congrats!

Post by **dng** » Mon May 05, 2025 10:20 pm

The Inter Barca match was pure liquid kick o ball, and football (Inter) was the W!NN4R!

Post by **dng** » Wed May 07, 2025 4:46 pm

I didn't watch it (as it was on stupid Amazon prime) and a,so I didn't listen to it because it wasn't even on radio five.

Post by **dng** » Wed May 07, 2025 4:47 pm

So it was the worst match ever

Post by **blombluss** » Thu May 08, 2025 12:50 am

You're just jealoux cos I saw the game on Amazon Prime*!

*Actually a dodgy sports streaming site with Portuguese commentary!

Post by **blombluss** » Thu May 08, 2025 12:51 am

Everything should have Portuguese commentary - even me brushing my teeth!!!!11!! Ha! Ha! Ja! Ja!

Sounds like an exciting day in Lisbon today. I'd like to find a way to watch it, sounds so much more interesting than anything in the Pissier League

Post by **vom** » Sat May 10, 2025 4:55 pm

Hooray Southampton made it to 12 points, somehow

Post by **endar** » Wed May 21, 2025 9:36 pm

the classic experience. You can't beat the feeling of impending doom watching your footballs team narrowly stumble over the line.

Now to experience it all over again against Oldham

Post by **dng** » Wed May 21, 2025 9:53 pm

with added travelling to/from wembley misery on top

Post by **dng** » Wed May 21, 2025 9:54 pm

also i had the spurs match on the tv while listening to the southend match, which meant i missed the joy of hearing robbie savage crying for two hours, or whatever bt's coverage consisted of tonight

Gravid · Post by **Gravid** » Thu May 22, 2025 9:55 am

That was absolutely rotten.

Gravid · Post by **Gravid** » Thu May 22, 2025 9:56 am
