Having waited all day to open all my windows, I just had to close the ones at the front of the flat because of the stench of cannibals from some bastard somewhere. It is safe to say my response to this has not been temperate.

I have had bastard neighbours sitting on the flat roof of the pub next door all afternoon and evening, smoking and making noise, so I've only just been able to open the windows. It is a blessed relief.

What you do is not sleep for a week then you sleep for fifteen minutes. But only if you have some camomile tea first.

normally when it's like this i exchange quilt for a thin sheet, which is just right. But even that is too much now

I spent the day in the office, trying not to fall asleep, so I look forward to lying in bed tonight, incapable of sleep.
