It seems to happen every 365.24 days

Re: oh no it christmas
A merald egg to all! This year so far I have opened one present (pyjamas) and eaten the following foods (all). Also we watched The Tiger Who Came To Tea, which I enjoyed very much because the tiger still looked like a medieval tiger with the face of man. I don't know yet when the remaining presents will be opened; we could wait till my sister and family return but I fear that will merely invoke sister's wrath at having to watch us open presents as well as open her own.

I ate some food while watching Indiana Jones.
Re: oh no it christmas
A man was murdered in the street about 100m from the blombluss chateau, in the early hours of Christmas Day, and my mom's health issues flared up both yesterday and today, so I can honestly say I've had better Christmasses. Oh well, roll on 2026!
Re: oh no it christmas
Well that sounds thoroughly horrible. Best wishes to your mum, and also that poor mans family
Re: oh no it christmas
And also to you, homfrus. Lovely homfrus

Perhaps this is a new Christmas tradition

Re: oh no it christmas
Argh. A murder?! God.
As far as any kind of Christmas unpleasantness goes, the only thing that happened to me was that I woke up on Christmas morning from a horrible nightmare where G****m L*****n was taunting me like a stupid school bully, trying to goad me into hitting him so he could run crying to teacher about it. It coloured the rest of Christmas morning for me.
But I got some very nice gifts, including a 4K Blu-Ray player! And I gave my sister and my brother-in-law lots of anime-style presents, some from the pop-up shop selling nothing but anime merchandise in the shopping centre bit of Waterloo Station. (The part where you go down some stairs and there's a piano there for passers-by to play, if they can, which not many people are able to, so it goes un-played most of the time)

Re: oh no it christmas
I would really love to hit the X policeman, very hard, and repeatedly. Also I am sorry about the murder, Homfrus. I had a local murder (drugs) a few years ago but it was somewhat further away (500m). They should really be banned.
We still haven't really done presents, so I imagine we will wait till Monday when my sister arrives again. Today I opened my present from my uncle, which was a bok about Bazball cricket and some socks.
