Imagine watching Max Zorin when you're 7. What an inspirational role model for any child!

I drugged race horses during my work experience at school. It wasn't what I was meant to be doing whilst working at Our Price, but IT HAD TO BE DONE!

What about racing drug horses?

I'm giving serious consideration to watching Give my Regards to Broad Street.

It sounds truly exlant, as would any film written and starring Pual 'Mercia' McCartney!!!!

I remember watching that as a child, and it making me hate not only paul mcartney but also all the paul mccartney beatles songs he does awful versions of throughout the film, an aversion that largely exists to the present day, thus ruining every listen of revolver almost completely

also, unrelated to this film, but related to my parents musical tastes, my mum bloody loved paul young in the 80s, so i have always utterly hated love will tear us apart, not just by paul young but also subsequently by joy division and everyone else that ever covered it

I was going to watch Give my Regards to Broad Street to-night, but I watched Josie and the Pussycats instead, which had less Pual McCartney, and was surprisingly decent!

It was actually really really good! Under the jokes and gross out stuff there was some properly angry political commentary. Certain types in America should be forced to watch it, Ludovico Technique style
I saw this yesterday and really enjoyed it also. I love the deadpan New Zealand sense of humour so much, even more so when they're reacting to the most insane shit possible

my other favourites at the film festival were Marama, a gothic revenge story about a young Maori woman being summoned to 19th century yorkshire by a mysterious letter, and Ghost in the Cell, an Indonesian comedy-horror film set in a prison which reminded me of Hellraiser and Paddington 2 at the same time
