Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
I don't understand what I've just written.
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
Despite my lifelong Schwarzenegger fandom I have only seen the first Conan film, only once, and I didn't like it very much
And I've seen The Villain! And Stay Hungry!

Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
according to the wikipedia page i just read, schwarzenegger considers red sonja to be the woest film he ever made
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
so you should watch that
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
I should
I think The 6th Day is probably the worst one I've seen
Unless you include Hercules in New York which is the "worst" but is amazing

I still listen to the soundtrack while driving sometimes.

I was going to watch a Conan last night but none of them seem to be streaming so instead I watched SCI-FIGHTERS, a Canadian b-movie about Roddy Piper chasing a space-rapist who has escaped from the moon.
It was good, obviously

It sounds rather good, that. I reckon all Roddy Piper films should feature a very long, semi-improvised fight scene. Even if it's a twee romantic comedy or a documentary about Albert Einstein.vom wrote: Wed May 26, 2021 8:19 am I was going to watch a Conan last night but none of them seem to be streaming so instead I watched SCI-FIGHTERS, a Canadian b-movie about Roddy Piper chasing a space-rapist who has escaped from the moon.

I watched Army of the Dead. It is one of the worst films I've ever seen. So disappointing.

I took my boy to the cinema for the first since I don't know when.
We watched Wolfwalkers. It is amazing. So beautiful and smart and imaginitive. And the music is great.

Theatre of Blood is on Amazon Prime so I gave it a go. Vincent Price and Arthur Lowe? Outstanding.

Yes. It's brilliant. You should also watch the abominable dr phibes if its on there, as its exactly the same as theatre of blood, but this time vincent price has a band of robons who play music for him in his lair all the time

He is clearly very much committed to it, even in scenes where you think he'd restrict himself, such as when the vagrants find him in the river.vom wrote: Sun Jun 20, 2021 2:11 pm I think that's my favourite of all the Vincent Price films that I've seen, and I've seen Quite A Lot

Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
i've got a week or whatever of disney plus, and i watched wandavision today, which is a marvel superheroes thing about the scarlet witch, which initially is framed as being a different tv sitcom parody every episode (bewwitched, dick van dyke show, some others). anyway its an absolutely pointless big ball of absolute nothing, that squanders any decent ideas it might have had completely so it can have end with two of absolutely the most boring hours of anything ever, most of which are essentially adverts for upcoming marvel tv/films, like always. shite
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
its basically one of those episodes of star trek where riker or someone gets stuck in a hallucination, but 5 hours long, the last two of which are data and another data having a fist fight in a library, while troi and an evil troi throw fireballs at each other in the sky

Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
also actually the very last episode of deep space nine was basically that, but even worse, so maybe i shoul djust shut up
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
also i thought as they had all the 20th century fox things on disney plus now i could watch alien in super hd or something, but it turns out the only alien film they have on there is prometheus
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
also there's two more marvel tv series on there but i think i've had enough now. maybe i will watch that stars wars series instead
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
that everyone keeps telling me to watch
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
but which i don't want to watch because its star wars and star wars upsets me
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
It has to be better than watching a Marvel series though.
Re: Motion Pictures (that amuse me)
I agree with everything you said about Wandavision. It started off seeming like an interesting and intriguing TV show, and then just became like any other Marvel film.

I am glad I have resisted watching any of the Marvel TV shows. The Mandalorian is pretty good fun though
But if I had Disney+ for a week I'd just watch Soul a bunch of times because it's lovely
