The first draft of the '80s film 'Mannequin' was far more daring than what finally reached the cinema screen...richschnauzer wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:58 pm

Its good to see that even the forces of darkness are sensible. And that applies to the person wearing the gauntlets, also.

Was that photo taken somewhere around Whitby? Early on in the original novel, this happens:
Dracula takes a ship for England with boxes of earth from his castle. The captain's log narrates the crew's disappearance until he alone remains, bound to the helm to maintain course. An animal resembling a large dog is seen leaping ashore when the ship runs aground at Whitby.

I hope it was stuck to Dracula's actual grave

When I see 'Whitby', I am unable to stop myself from singing the song title: 'Only A Prawn In Whitby', by Cud.

I saw that film on ITV one Bank Holiday, in the late 80s. It's a Children's Film Foundation movie called "Mr Horatio Knibbles". I remember really liking it at the time, and then decades later I saw what Horatio Knibbles looked like again.

I think my wif had this on a t-shirt back in the provocative t-shirts at school days
Her father had been an engineer and she was also continuously 'playing with forbidden things', all of which contributed to her designated position.

The Italian beef one reminds me of that picture of the skull full of teeth.

Bagel With Lox sounds like a 90s dance music duo who've earnt themselves a top 15 hit with a cover of a disco classic.

There's a primetime TV show to be made from that sandwich poster, a set of darts, and two contestants.

Re: Pictures that amuse me
You know when you see a word like "gay" in really old magazines or newspapers, like from the 1950s or the 1960s or something, and they use it in a way that no longer makes sense, and may even seem a bit weird? Well, the progress of both history and culture has now come for Smash Hits in 1991 (and EMF):
If I ever become a DJ, I'm taking this as my name. I don't think that bloke wants it anymore.
(Oh, and check out the name of his then-new band!)

I think I've been on a website called Milfzone, but I can only presume that DJ had left/been sacked before I accidentally found the er... specialist site...
