Soccerball Therad
Re: Soccerball Therad
I do really.
Re: Soccerball Therad
paolo maldini's son was playing for milan tonight. i looked it up, and cesare maldini played 12 seasons and 450 games for milan (1954-66), then paolo maldini played 24 seasons and 900 games for milan (1985 to 2009), so by my reckoning this new maldini is going to play either 36 seasons and 1350 games for milan (2020 to 2056), or maybe 48 seasons and 1800 games for milan (2020 to 2068)
Re: Soccerball Therad
either that or we will never hear of him again
Re: Soccerball Therad
It is Maldini 3.0's destiny. He must. He will.dng wrote: Wed Sep 15, 2021 9:40 pm paolo maldini's son was playing for milan tonight. i looked it up, and cesare maldini played 12 seasons and 450 games for milan (1954-66), then paolo maldini played 24 seasons and 900 games for milan (1985 to 2009), so by my reckoning this new maldini is going to play either 36 seasons and 1350 games for milan (2020 to 2056), or maybe 48 seasons and 1800 games for milan (2020 to 2068)

Excellent. I hope Milan see sense and allow him to fulfill this destiny, regardless of how good he is.
Re: Soccerball Therad
England are playing North Macedonia in the women's football, and it's on ITV4 right now. It'll be about as exciting as watching England's men take on Andorra, so... nah to both...

Re: Soccerball Therad
It's such a dumb and obviously fifancially motivated idea. A WC every four years, a Euros every four years as we have it now, is just right.

A christmas every day
Re: Soccerball Therad
but no boxing days
Re: Soccerball Therad
there is no global market for boxing days

If EA Sports can release a new FIFA game every year, why can't we have a new World Cup every year?

I would climb that mountain to watch that football match for free.
And that's why Edmund Hillary climbed Mount Everest.

The Matlock Town ground is like a scaled down version of that
