i used to have this or something very similar to it (and still do in the loft somewhere so i'll actually have a tv capable of playing old consoles should i ever muster up the effort to get any set up)

To be honest, I thought Spain were the better team, and England weren't that much cop. What we had, however, was grit and stickability, and I reckon our manager was the reason for the victory. She first threw the dice with subs at the 60 minute mark (earlier than we usually do), and she stuck a centre-half up front and started whacking it up towards her, with 15 minutes to play (rather than waiting until injury time or summat). I believe her boldness earned us a win that we didn't particularly deserve, which is a handy trait, and when we play Sweden (who will beat Belgium), I think we'll have an easier time of things, and beat them in 90 minutes.
