I watched 24 Hour Party People last week, in which he played Ian Curtis and I just decided he stunk up the screen really. Not enough charisma or presence. Plus he's one of those actors who thinks that dialogue is delivered through a motionless mouth and jaw.
Think he was in Prometheus too as one of the biologists, the one with the centipede

I watched the French Dispatch last Monday. I thought it was technically lovely and charming and beautiful, but I didn't feel very invested in any of what was happening.

Also I watched Dune today, which I thought was great, even if it only feels like half a film.

I can't wait until every book adaptation receives a 3-hour feature film for each single chapter

this had some good bits in it and some bad bits in it and also some terrible bits in it with characters from other marvel films appearing for no apparent reason or need. it was a marvel film alright

except that the last half hour this time was basically a cutscene from final fantasy instead of a cutscene from all the previous marvel films you've already seen

I like how Marvel has so thoroughly exhausted all its iconic characters and decided to put all its chips on scraping up a handful of the most generic superheroes possible and throwing them at us with zero introduction, presumably on the logic of "but you'll watch it for two minutes of Captain America or whoever"

This Marvel film consists of Captain Britain travelling the length and breadth of the UK, delivering fiery public speeches on the evils of the EU to always large and rapturous audiences.

Running time: 3hrs 5 minutes.

NOTE: THERE ARE NO POST-END CREDIT 'BLOOPERS', BECAUSE FILMING WENT PERFECTLY TO PLAN!!!

I enjoyed reading that earlier, Vom.

I loved the film when I was a kid, as a spotty youth, as a borken middle aged mans, and when I'm a ghost!

This week I watched Rebecca, because I read the book last week. Anyway the film was pretty good (although the film was better). Also I'm stuck watching all the rest of the films in my parents extensive collection of hitchcock boxset, so i've also watched vertigo (pretty amazing) and notorious (completely amazing)

hooray for hitchcock
