Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I watched 24 Hour Party People last week, in which he played Ian Curtis and I just decided he stunk up the screen really. Not enough charisma or presence. Plus he's one of those actors who thinks that dialogue is delivered through a motionless mouth and jaw.dng wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 11:00 pm Also I quite like him I think. He was good in possum (the matthew holness film from a few years back). I have no idea what else he was in
Think he was in Prometheus too as one of the biologists, the one with the centipede

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
There's some very nice stuff in there.
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I watched the French Dispatch last Monday. I thought it was technically lovely and charming and beautiful, but I didn't feel very invested in any of what was happening.
Also I watched Dune today, which I thought was great, even if it only feels like half a film.

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
It's okay they're going to make the second half of that dune film in three years time or something
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Yes. I will have forgotten absolutely everything that happened by then.

I can't wait until every book adaptation receives a 3-hour feature film for each single chapterdng wrote: Mon Nov 01, 2021 4:07 pm It's okay they're going to make the second half of that dune film in three years time or something
Her father had been an engineer and she was also continuously 'playing with forbidden things', all of which contributed to her designated position.

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Excellent. I've never heard of that before and it sounds brilliant
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I hadn't either, but it's brilliant. And made me want to live in a dive hotel and drink beer and wine at the same time to prove that I'm from New Orleans

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
shang chi - marvel martial arts film about a man who is secretly very good at martial arts who has to fight his dad, who is tony leung for some reason
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
this had some good bits in it and some bad bits in it and also some terrible bits in it with characters from other marvel films appearing for no apparent reason or need. it was a marvel film alright
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
except that the last half hour this time was basically a cutscene from final fantasy instead of a cutscene from all the previous marvel films you've already seen
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
anyway tony leung might be in his 60s now but he's still the sexiest man who has ever lived
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
only in this solar system, davuss.

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
I like how Marvel has so thoroughly exhausted all its iconic characters and decided to put all its chips on scraping up a handful of the most generic superheroes possible and throwing them at us with zero introduction, presumably on the logic of "but you'll watch it for two minutes of Captain America or whoever"
Her father had been an engineer and she was also continuously 'playing with forbidden things', all of which contributed to her designated position.

They're probably right though

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
They’ve not made captain Britain yet
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Captain Britain is played by Tim Martin off of wetherspoons
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
My brother informed me they had captain Britain in some recent marvel cartoon series. Instead of being from maldon, he was captain americas girlfriend from the first captain America film
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
Instead of being from Maldon he was scared of bees
Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
This Marvel film consists of Captain Britain travelling the length and breadth of the UK, delivering fiery public speeches on the evils of the EU to always large and rapturous audiences.
Running time: 3hrs 5 minutes.
NOTE: THERE ARE NO POST-END CREDIT 'BLOOPERS', BECAUSE FILMING WENT PERFECTLY TO PLAN!!!

I think the world needed a gangster film starring Willie Thorne, and with the production values of Crossroads.

I enjoyed reading that earlier, Vom.
I loved the film when I was a kid, as a spotty youth, as a borken middle aged mans, and when I'm a ghost!

Re: Motion Pictures (that anuse me)
This week I watched Rebecca, because I read the book last week. Anyway the film was pretty good (although the film was better). Also I'm stuck watching all the rest of the films in my parents extensive collection of hitchcock boxset, so i've also watched vertigo (pretty amazing) and notorious (completely amazing)
hooray for hitchcock
