Oh god hot heat hot

Post by **dng** » Fri Jul 15, 2022 12:58 pm

I think I might genuinely die this weekend when it’s supposed to be fifteen bleeding degrees hotter than this still for days on end

Post by **dng** » Fri Jul 15, 2022 1:01 pm

On our roof we’ve got solar panels that heat our water. When it gets too hot it stops pumping the water up there so you don’t just get steam burning your face off in the shower, but whatever’s still up there then keeps getting hotter and hotter forever (about 3pm, when the suns moved round enough not to shine so directly on them).

Anyway, the water still up there is currently 160 degrees Celsius, apparently

Post by **dng** » Fri Jul 15, 2022 1:02 pm

Presumably now just slowly melting all the stuff in our loft instead of heating the water in the tank

I don't think even Crete was that hot when i was there. 35 maybe. But it was too hot to be outside during the day. I recommend siestas.

Always.

Today I have mostly been asleep. This is also the plan for tomorrow and Tuesday. I will then awaken on Wednesday, (hopefully) fully recovered and also at a normal temperature again. The only disruption to this plan is that someone is coming to fix the toilet (busted flush) tomorrow at midday.

The person at work who rescheduled a meeting from last Thursday to Tuesday afternoon can go whistle.

One down, just one more to go. Hopefully.

Post by **dng** » Tue Jul 19, 2022 9:02 pm

Post by **dng** » Tue Jul 19, 2022 9:03 pm

Post by **blombluss** » Tue Jul 19, 2022 11:48 pm

Today I existed, as there was nothing else I could do

At some point at night the clouds came, there was a bit of rain and an actual cool breeze could be felt. My mum said "Hallejuah".

It reminded me of this, even though it is water not heat:

Post by **dng** » Sun Aug 07, 2022 9:31 am
